About me
I was born in the South and lived there most of my life. I'm proud to call myself a Southern Belle and know that it's not only a tradition but also a great personal feeling. Southern women have a gentleness of nature but a strength that can hardly be measured. I was reared to know that only in gentleness you could find strength and only in making your own decisions could you be happy. I'm sort of a free spirit and it's always worked for me. Some of the favorite memories have to include family and friends and loving meals shared in kitchens which served as the heart of the home. If we love or care about you, we're going to feed you. These kitchens were meeting places and I will never forget the sights, smells, sounds of laughter and love that lived in the home in which I was raised. Love was all around me growing up and that has remained with me and will until the day I die. It was a wonderful and happy time in my life and I will always reach back to those memories and know that I'm part a great group of people-- the South. Come to my home and I'll give you a glass of sweet tea and we'll sit in the kitchen with fresh air blowing in the window and talk about anything your heart desires. I want to know about you. And then I might tell you about my childhood, about the man I love, my work or my hobbies. I'm a nut over animals and live on a farm in a city in North Carolina. Yes it's a city farm. I have horses and two cats, a dog and a parrot. My daddy had 3 girls and I was the middle one. I hunted and fished with him. I guess I was the little boy he never had. The tomboy has remained with me as my favorite pastime is competition shooting. Believe it or not, I have a few state champion trophies. I have lots more interest, love collecting antiques for my old, old home. I like music and love dancing. I love people and enjoy getting to know them. I'm a senior cm for DownTown Chat, the best chatsite on the net. I like the interaction with people and have made some friends that will be with me forever. My mom is living and lives near me. I enjoy a close relationship with her. She's a gracious lady. Back to my dad, he's dead now and probably loved me more than anyone in the whole wide world ever has. I miss him a lot. He called me princess and yes, I still think I'm one today.
Hope you enjoy my site. Please be patient as it's my first attempt alone and come back real soon. I'm going to add more.
Gives you a big ole Southern hug.
